Stuffed Fried Cuttlefish

1 lb fresh cuttlefish, cleaned

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 large egg, beaten

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

2 tbsp olive oil

4 cups vegetable oil (for frying)

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs, beaten (for coating)

1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs (for coating)

Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions

Prepare the Filling: In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic, parsley, egg, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and olive oil until well combined.

Stuff the Cuttlefish: Fill each cuttlefish with the prepared stuffing, ensuring not to overfill.

Coating Process: Place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs in a third.

Bread the Cuttlefish: Dredge each stuffed cuttlefish in flour, dip into beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.

Fry: Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry the cuttlefish in batches for about 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.

Drain & Serve: Remove from oil and place on paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with lemon wedges. Enjoy!
